(Photo by Assawin Pakkawan)SONGKHLA - A drug courier suspect has been arrested and 100kg of crystal methamphetamine, or ya ice, worth 200 million baht seized following a car chase in this southern province. A search found 100kg of crystal methamphetamine hidden inside the vehicle, which had Trang plates, Pol Maj Gen Sakhon Thongmunee, chief of the Provincial Police Region 9, told a media briefing on Friday. A preliminary investigation found the seized drugs came from a Wa trafficker in the North who had partners in Phatthalung and Songkhla provinces. Crystal methamphetamine found in packs hidden in a Fortuner stopped after a police chase in Singkhla.
